Mary David from Erie Huron CAC was our speaker this week. She gave a very informative program concerning the Parents as Teachers programs as well as the teen pregnancy programs available. City of Sandusky
Today's speaker was Matt Kline, the new Sandusky City Manager. He provided us with very good information of the things going on concerning the paper district, the Keller building, Rieger building and the ongoing Marina District Project. Things are progressing and I hope we will have more things to come from our City. We have a lot to be proud of about our city but our work is not done! 6th Annual Golf Outing at Sleepy Hollow in Clyde Ohio

Cheryl Bowman from NASA Glenn Research @ Lewis Field was our speaker today. A very interesting topic concerning NASA technology spinoffs that enhance our lives.
Just a few highlights of the information provided. NASA funding is approximately .6% of the US budget. If you take and budget .6% of the average household income it would equate to approximately 73 cents a day for that household. That money can be used to fund research locally which in turn effects industry and job creation in our community.

Did you know memory foam used in mattresses and the dust buster, not to mention many medical tests and equipment are all spinoffs of NASA technology we use?
