Sandusky Merry Go Round Museum
Vicki, Director of the Merry Go Round Museum was our guest on Tuesday, June 16, 2009. The Merry Go Round Museum has been in operation for 19 years and they have an active carousel carving and restoration program. The museum has a staff of four employees and operates with many volunteers. The museum creates one carousel animal every year and raffles it off for fundraising dollars. Next year the Merry Go Round Museum will be celebrating their 20th anniversary and they are in the process of planning many great events for that day. Currently the museum is raffling off a Harley Davidson Fat Boy, tickets are $20 and the winner can elect to take the bike or $10,000. The museum is open year round, (Hours M-S 10-5/Sunday 12-5) and the facility is available to rent for celebration events. For more information please visit their website at http://www.merrygoroundmuseum.org/ or 419 626-6111.
